BYS Blush in "Pretty in Pink"

So this is a product I have already posted about before, but I'm re-posting because the photo's were previously REALLY dodgy.

I love the BYS Blushes, but I found that this particular blush was too light of a pink for me. Since I am More of a tan person, blushes that are more of a coral colour suite me.
This colour would be perfect for someone of fair skin!

I found this to be slightly too Talc ridden, but not to the point that it makes my cheeks feel tight.
I would use this for a drunken night out as the colour stays where it's meant to stay.
Overall I would give it a 7/10.

Sportsgirl Get Cheeky Blush x

When I was in Bendigo in the first Holidays of 2012 I went shopping with my Grandma and Mum.
Not the ideal shopping partners, but well.. yeah.
I picked up a couple Sportsgirl Cosmetics for a try and well I loved the glosses, but didn't like the blush as much.

The blush feels really chalky, since the talc content is high. The colours don't really work well on my skin. They made me look "fake".

I wasn't very happy with this blush. It didn't sit right on my skin, and wore off quickly.

Rimmel London Blushes ! x

I got these from Coles yesterday for roughly $4.00 each! So I was quite happy with that!
I actually adore these blushes! They are big enough to have LOTS of applications from, but small enough for if you don't have much space in your Make-up Bag!
They don't feel heavy on the cheek, and they also don't have that dryness that makes your cheeks feel a bit stiff, and tight when you smile!

The colours are great, and you can use one, two or three at once, so they are perfect for if you want different looks, or if your going from day make-up to night make-up.

I love them, and I suggest you try these Blushes out! :)

Semi-Natural Make-Up

A nice classic semi-nude face is my fave type of make up!
A plump pink of brown lip, with a classic eye in bowns :)
this is the kind of make-up I will wear to school, when I can be bothered haha.

First things first, it's just like baking a cake, tools and ingredients. Or in this case, Brushes and Make-Up!
You don't need to have the exact brushes, or the exact make-up, the ones below work best for me personally is all. Also keep in mind that you May, and in many cases will need different colours than me!!

The Brushes !! :)

The Make Up :) xx

Starting at top left going clockwise (Right)
- SportsGirl Get Cheeky Blush
-SportsGirl Lip Jam
-Napoleon Perdis Palette in Champagne
-CoverGirl Foundation for Normal Skin in Buff Beige
- DB Black Mascara
- Savvy By DB Eyeliner Pen
-Australis Lip Pencil in Bashful.

Steps :) xx

1. Start by applying your foundation, working from the nose to the outer frame of your face. Don't put too much on the forehead as it can start to look cakey and dry (even though it's not). If you have pimples or redness, feel free to cover with a concealer. (I don't tend to use it, which is why it isn't in my routine)

2. Add a little bit of blush to the cheeks, not too dark. Only so it is slightly noticeable!

3. Pic 3 browns from the palette that suite your skin tone, keeping in mind that you will need a lighter, medium and darker brown. The colour can be close, but do need a noticeable difference.

4. Start with the medium brown, and cover the full lid, finishing just before the brow.

5. Then take the darker brow, start from the outer corner of the eye and work the brown up alone the  crease of the eye, finishing 1/3 of the way along. Also do a bit along the outer, upper lash line :)

6. Finish with the lighter colour on the middle of the lid (where the pupil would sit if the lid was closed) and a bit on the bottom of the outer third of the brown. Also a thin line of eyeliner across either the bottom or upper lash line. I recommend the upper though. :) And a dash of mascara to the lashes :)

7. All that's left is the lips! Line and fill with the lip pencil and add some of the lip Jam with the Lip brush. All done and ready to go for a light and breezy day !!

Hope you love this look :)

Blush !!

I'm the type of girl that can't complete a look without blushes!
I love to use pinks and browns, rouge and wines!
I love them all!!!
But do you really know what colours suite you?

Nars Blush in Mata Hari
$27.00

Lets start with a bit about blushes!

Blush (also known as rouge) is used to brighten the cheeks. In few days and ages both men and women wore blush, and then in other ages it was frowned upon, so women pinched their skin to retrieve the same effect.

In past tenses rouge was also used on the lips, just as we use lipstick today.

Blush can come in many forms, from powders to cream. But we will explore more on that in a minute:)

Urban Decay Cheek Tint in Quickie

$24.00

How to pick the right type of blush for your skin
1. Powder Blush - It best for oily skin as it doesn't clog the pores, and the talcum base is great for leaving a smooth surface and to protect pored from oil and bacteria that can clog them :)

2. Cream Blush - Is best for dry skin as it will add extra moisture to the skin ! It is best to be applied in small doses with your fingers, but does have the tenancy to not be even on each sides, not apply as well as powders and look as though it is very out of shape.

3. Gel Blush - It provide a sheer shiny look to your cheeks. It is best for Normal Skin !! But try not to go overboard it as it can look very fake..

4. Shimmery Blush - Give an illumination to your cheeks, adding an illusion of glowing light to your face! It is perfect for those late night parties!

How to chose the right shade for you!

Well to be honest, there is no limit on what shade to choose, but it really depends on what look you are after. Like say if it was Alice in Wonderland, you would have bright pink, or if it was a burlesque look, you would opt your a bright pink, or a nice brown peachy colour!

But if you are opting for an everyday colour, you should try to match it o the colour of your cheeks after a small 10min workout, as that is your natural colour!

If that is still hard, go to your local chemist, or large retailers like David Jones, and have a talk to the Make Up Artist there and they will be able to help you!!

Always remember to keep blush light during the day time and dramatic at night!

and try to match the undertones of your lipstick to your blush :)

After a while of learning the ropes of using a blush, you can then teach yourself to layer and mix colours to perfectly suite your style!!

Both of these colours are available online at MAC Cosmetics
$43.00 each
